This visa category is for those who intend to establish residence in Angola.
Holders of this visa may conduct work and/or any paid activity.

Tourist Visa
Granted for a period of 7-30 days
Profitable activities are prohibited
Will not qualify for Permanent Residency
Sightseeing and cultural exploration
Tourist visas are authorised for a short visit to Angola (for example, to see family, attend a business meeting, participate in a cultural event or undergo treatment in the hospital) These visas are issued for a period of 7-30 days. Profitable activities are prohibited.

Ordinary Visa
May be granted for up to 7-30 days
Attend business meetings
The holder of an Ordinary Visa may only reside in Luanda during their sojourn. To be used within 60 days
To be used within 60 days
Ordinary visas are granted only by the concerned Angolan consular which is issued for business meetings, market research and scientific studies. The Ordinary visa may be used within 60 days after the date of issuance and is valid for a period of 7-30 days.

Brief Duration Visa
May be granted for up to 7 days
The visa must be used within three days after its issuance
Will not qualify you for Permanent Residency
Brief Duration Visas are issued for any emergency purposes such as family emergency, urgent business visit, medical treatment among others Brief duration visas are issued for a period not exceeding seven days and must be used within three days after its issuance.

Study Permit
Allows you to study in Angola
Issued for a year at a time
Work is prohibited
Must be obtained prior to entering Angola
A Study Permit allows you to study in Angola. These visas are issued for a period of up to one year and may be extended in country on an annual basis until the completion of your studies. The holder of a study permit is not legally allowed to conduct work in Angola.
To study in Angola, the applicant must be accepted by a school or tertiary education provider in writing by providing a letter of acceptance which must be on the institution’s letterhead and signed by or on behalf of the registrar or principal.
